Two Annual Awards from AAUW's Educational Foundation (EF)

We're changing the world . . . one woman at a time!

The AAUW Education Foundation provides funds to advance education, research, and self-development for women and to foster equity and positive societal change. The foundation has helped more than 6,300 women reach their personal and professional goals through a variety of fellowships and grants.

The AAUW's Eleanor Roosevelt Fund Award ... for educators and others Established in 1989, the Eleanor Roosevelt Fund Award honors an individual, project, organization, or institution for outstanding contributions to equity and education for women and girls. The award is given for a broad range of activities including classroom teaching, educational and research contributions, and legal and legislative work in equity for women and girls. While the award focuses on education, the recipient need not be an educator. Nominations must be postmarked by November 4, 2004. The awardees will be notified by April 2005. The award includes an honorarium of $5,000 plus travel expenses to attend the AAUW National Convention held June 24-27, 2005, in Washington, D.C. The awardees must personally accept the award at the Foundation Night banquet. The National Women's Law Center received the 2003 Eleanor Roosevelt Fund Award. Questions?
